Some Women

I will forever hold a flame for in my heart. Sade is one of them. Erykah Badu would be another. I've been a fan since Baduizm I'm talking about me as a kid rocking the cassette homies! Over the years she's kept it real and has always retained my love for her. So i'm  giving it back hopefully creating some new fans of hers in the process.

They Got a Girl's Name

And yet the cats from Tanya Morgan (which comprises of Von Pea, Illyas, and Donwill) goes harder then so many people these days. When I was in Connecticut I was so glad to see these fellas up on MTVU. I'm tired of reading hip hop is dead on comments of old videos on youtube and all that I mean stop having your music spoonfed to you and just be a real fan and look for motherfuckers. Like these cats check out their latest album Brooklynati you won't be disappointed.

So Damn Down

Okay Okay

Cats is saying hey I like what your doing with the blog but whats up with all the electro posts? Can we get some hip hop please. No problemo. Royce Da 5'9, a Detroit cat who is a leading member of the supergroup Slaughterhouse, is putting work in on this track produced by the great Premo. This is a real slick track I can see why Eminem viewed him as competition when they were both coming out.

Royce Da 5'9- Hip Hop

You Like Guns?

I might have to invest in one. Specifically shotgun start. These fellas coming out the Chi are starting off pretty strong in the music game at least judging what they have on their myspace. The synths are on point, its not repetitive, and its always nice to hear effects being used right. Oh and the sax solo? So sexy. You shall like.

TROUBLE & BASS'd

The Trouble and Bass crew has to be one of my all time favorite heavy bass syndicates out there. If you guys want your mind to be warped I highly recommend going to one of their shows; having seen Drop The Lime at Coachella I speak from experience. The first few tracks I'll be putting up is from the T&B Scion A/V mixtape that came out a few months ago, the rest will be various remixes and originals.

1.HEAVIEST WOBBLES EVER!GRIME!!!!

2.Limey grimey.

3."We are the hunters, we kill the weak"

4.The first track not off the mixtape. So lovely Star Eyes!

5. The one of the first tracks I ever heard back in 08 from DTL. NEW YORK!!!

6.Gotta Hustle

Oscillations for Wobbles

Jack Beats just released their new remix yet again proving to the world that they're a force to be reckoned with. Every song these guys touch becomes another track of wobbly gold. This remix of La Roux shows their remix abillties to not only do bangers but also softer more mellow tracks, just like their previous Florence and the Machine remix. This being said after a slow chopped up beginning chorus this track explodes with heavy oscillations.

Bonus:

This is another filthy tune by Caspa. With its long vocal intro this track would do good as the opening track to a set.

What We Catching

Hot tracks me and Veins catch like old school vaqueros and bulls baby. I need more brits loving american fellas like me. Where my foreign women at?

Estelle- American Boy (Kid Kaio Remix)

P.S. Squeegie mad love we got for you.

Bounce to This!

Kitsune records never disappoints, they have some of the most renouned artists in the electronic music world. One of their newer bands Crystal Fighters follows suit with their high speed high energy song Xtatic Truth. If this song doesnt get your heart racing I dont know what will.

This second track Im posting is by Momma's Boy who is one of Mikix the Cat's monikers. As Momma's Boy, Mikix switches up his usual bass driven tracks and goes for a more minimal bounce track that sounds like a more echoey Sidney Samson's "Riverside". Im kindly posting the link to the RCRDLBL site for download. Enjoy!

Splitting The Atom

Massive Attack Pictures, Images and Photos
Is the new ep from Massive Attack, one of the originators of the whole Bristol Sound. Its real dark but at the same time Horace Andy's calm voice that you can hear on this track makes the shit sound real smooth. Check out their ep coming out on the 5th of October or so I hear...

Massive Attack- Splitting The Atom

2 For, Wensdays?

Just Chill (the man who started this wonderful blog and who goes by many other names) gave me the honor of inviting me to post full time. And you guys are in for a treat today. The first track Im posting is remix of Thunderheist by Idiotproof. This track is pretty minimal, with beeps and bleeps right from an 808. Its heavy bass hits will keep you moving though. Anyone in the Dutch house scene should pick this up.

The second track Im posting is very bouncy with Carnivale horns and bongos everywhere. Even a whistle or two in there. Id love to drop this track in a set. This tune has everything to offer and Id highly recommend you guys download.

Left My Soul In San Francisco

Today I was listening to a few Fred Falke tracks after hearing one of his new remixes on KCRW earlier in the week; for those of you who dont know, Fred Falke is a French poducer known for his synthy-house driven disco tunes. I stumbled on this track right here originally produced by Citylife but remixed by Fred. I dont know how long I've had this song in my library but Im guessing quite a while since I havent got any of his remixes in some time. This is another track you just want to relax to, or maybe even dance. With a nice vocal line by DD you will not be disappointed!

For the most part to meet is just bands whose frontman have a terrible tone of voice, write obscure lyrics just for the fuck of it, and are really in it for the hipster pussy (just admit it I would like you more). Luckily there are a couple of groups out there who can call my ass a dedicated. Take Avi Buffalo for example. Even if I didn't go to high school with these cats (I'm one biased motherfucker accept it) or go to many of their early shows, I still think I would of picked up on them. Eventually. Long Beach natives like myself, they sound new, Avi can actually sing, lyrics are always good, and they have girls in the band who can hold their own. They'll be playing today at the Busker Festival here in Long Beach for free along with the Cold War Kids and 60 Watt Kid. I will definitely be out there because I keep it real, I blog for the hipster pussy.

Up At The Palladium

Eyedea Pictures, Images and Photos
Rhymesayers shut that shit down! Minneapolis definitely was doing its damn thing last night up in Hollywood. Eyedea&Abilities got the crowd pumped up performing songs from their old album E&A as well as new tracks from the album BY The Throat. Then Atmosphere got up on stage and had the crowd going crazy. They even had Abstract Rude and Myka Nine come out showing true respect to the LA underground scene. I got my money's worth thats for sure. Support these fools know what I'm saying?

MOBY Pictures, Images and Photos
Apparently make up for the hair loss by being amazing when it comes to music. At least thats the case when it comes to Richard Melville Hall better known to the world as Moby. Here's a single off his latest album Wait For Me as well as a pretty decent remix done by another musician i'm a fan of, Gui Boratto.

Flowers Can Fly?

flying lotus Pictures, Images and Photos
Well apparently they do in the mind of Steven Ellison, better known to the world as Flying Lotus. I became a fan of this character without even realizing who the hell he was. See one of major claims is that FlyLo as his fans call him is the artist behind the background music of the popular Adult Swim. Ever since I heard some of his tracks on there I've been a fan. Here's some goodies I think you guys should bless your ears with:

sergio mendes and brasil 66 Pictures, Images and Photos
Just as the roots said it so brilliantly on Do You Want More. You know what there would be less crazy shit going on out there if people were listening to some Bossa Nova. I'm a real mellow fella you feel me and I think lots of people out there need to just chill..

Its The Wake Up

kid cudi Pictures, Images and Photos
So if you didn't get it this is how I'm going to be opening the blog up everyday my people. I woke up at my homie's house watching him putting his fixed gear trick video up on Vimeo. Asked me what I thought should be the background music and what came to mind was:

Kid Cudi- Sky High

Now I don't want to be your typical blogger who have jumped on the Kid Cudi train but I do like the guy. He has a great voice which these days doesn't get really appreciated in the rap game. And he has a melodic flow however I gotta keep it real the dude doesn't really talk about anything conscious. And thats cool I'm not really looking at him as being the next Mos Def or Kweli I can appreciate what he is coming out with as of now. If you haven't already check out his mixtape A Kid Named Cudi and also his first album "Man on the Moon: The End of Day" scheduled to come out Sept. 15.

Let Me Put You On

B.o.B aka Bobby Ray Pictures, Images and Photos
You know the south just doesn't get the credit it deserves these days when it comes to the whole "underground" scene. Me personally I don't let the whole elitism of today's underground scene get to me. Here's a real cool brother coming out with a single that samples one of my favorite groups A Tribe Called Quest classic Bonita Applebum. So Bobby Ray please put me on!

I woke up in a real good mood today folks. I strolled over to the fridge and started my day off with a glass of apple juice. Then I just vibed with my man Lonnie Liston Smith for a little bit before I remembered this lovely song The Roots performed at Rock The Bells a couple of days ago.

Listen

My name you'll receive later on. The important thing to know right now is that I like music. Whole genres of music I call myself a fan of. I'm biased not gonna lie about that one. I realize that tons of people have a blog these days but I feel I have decent taste in music. So become a fan yeah? Your I-Tunes will most definitely thank you...
